The event “Should Canes Boost Their Immunity?” took place at the University of Miami and focused on increasing awareness about influenza and the importance of vaccination among college students.
During the event, students were invited to participate in a short survey and quiz designed to assess their knowledge of influenza and influenza vaccines. This interactive approach allowed participants to learn while actively engaging with the material.
Our physicians and healthcare professionals provided educational information on preventive measures, highlighting how infectious diseases commonly spread in university settings and what students can do to protect themselves and their communities.
The event reached more than 100 students, combining education, discussion, and hands‑on participation to promote informed decision‑making about health and disease prevention on campus.
