Argentina
At FUNCEI, we operate programs that strengthen infection prevention and patient care across healthcare institutions in Argentina.
Our work has spanned multiple regions, including:
- Buenos Aires (Ezeiza): Hospital Interzonal de Ezeiza (ongoing program)
- Chubut (Puerto Madryn): Hospital Zonal de Puerto Madryn (multiple programs implemented over time; most recent program completed in 2024, with sponsorship from Pan American Energy (PAE))
- Neuquén: 15 healthcare institutions, including hospitals and long-term care centers (multiple programs implemented over time; most recent program completed in 2024, with sponsorship from Pan American Energy (PAE))
Through these collaborations, we deliver reliable, evidence based information to healthcare professionals and the communities they serve.
Our Approach
Our Programs are built on three core pillars:
- Training
We provide in person and virtual training sessions, participate in hospital infection control committees, and support the development of institutional guidelines and protocols.
- Surveillance
We monitor healthcare associated infections and antimicrobial use to support prevention strategies and early detection.
- Reporting
We analyze and share data to improve biosafety practices, guide clinical decision making, and enhance the overall quality of care.
Through these combined efforts, we support healthcare institutions in strengthening infection control practices and advancing public health outcomes across the regions we serve.
Armenia
FIDEC Armenia provides free, high quality healthcare services to individuals and families experiencing vulnerability, displacement, or limited access to medical care.
Our team offers:
- Comprehensive medical evaluations
- Management of chronic conditions (such as hypertension and diabetes)
- Cancer screenings and preventive care
- Ongoing follow up and case management
- Mental health and psychosocial support, including trauma recovery
We work directly within communities to empower patients with the tools, education, and support they need to manage their health. This includes selfmonitoring resources, essential medications, and clear guidance for longterm wellbeing.
Through this integrated model of care, FIDEC Armenia helps people improve their health, gain confidence in managing chronic conditions, and build stronger, healthier futures for themselves and their families.
